Soy Chorizo Burgers

Unsaved Soy Chorizo Burgers

Ingredients

  • 10 oz Plant-based sausage
  • 1 cup Black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/4 cup Panko plain bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Liquid eggs
  • 1 Red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Tomato, sliced
  • 6 Grain white thin sandwich rounds

Instructions

  1. Place a sheet of foil over the grates of a grill, and preheat to medium-high.
  2. Combine soy chorizo, black beans and bread crumbs in a food processor, and pulse 5-6 times briefly until beans are roughly chopped (do not puree, because burgers will not hold together).
  3. Gently fold in egg substitute, then divide into 4 patties.
  4. Cook burgers on grill gates 4 minutes per side, then remove from grill and top burgers with red onion, cilantro, tomato and thin rounds.
