Smoky Turkey and Black Bean Chili

Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 lb Ground turkey
- 1 tsp Ground cumin
- 1 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Steak seasoning
- 8 oz Baby bella mushrooms, chopped into small pieces
- 1/2 Medium red onion, finely chopped
- 20 oz Canned diced tomatoes and green chilies
- 15 oz No-salt canned black beans
- 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro, leaves only, finely chopped
Instructions
- Heat a large pot over medium-high heat. Add oil, turkey, cumin, paprika, and steak seasoning. Stir and cook until turkey is cooked through and starting to brown a little.
- Add mushrooms and onions. Stir and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until onions start to soften.
- Add tomatoes with green chilies and beans. Stir to combine, reduce heat to medium, and cover. Simmer for 5 to 8 minutes, or until tomatoes are cooked through.
- Remove from heat and stir through fresh cilantro. Serve with grated cheese or sour cream as desired.
