Slow Cooker Pot Roast and Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb Chuck roast
  • 1/2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 9 oz Pot roast cooking sauce
  • 2 lb Yukon gold potatoes

Instructions

  1. Add olive oil to a large sauté pan over high heat.
  2. Season one side of roast with salt and pepper and place in hot pan, seasoned side down.
  3. Season remainder of roast with salt and pepper and brown on all sides.
  4. Place browned pot roast in bottom of slow cooker, top with potatoes then pour cooking sauce over the top.
  5. Cook on high 3 1/2 to 4 hours or until tender.
