Shaved Celery Root & Garlic Pizza

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Frozen pizza dough
  • 1 cup Pizza sauce, or as needed
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella, plus more as needed
  • 1/4 cup Pecorino romano cheese, grated
  • 1 cup Celery root, shaved or very thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh garlic, shaved or very thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Follow package instructions for thawing pizza dough in the refrigerator. Once thawed, cover and set on counter until dough is soft and pliable, approximately 2 to 3 hours.
  2. Preheat oven to 450ºF.
  3. Spray a standard 14 to 16 inch round pizza pan with non-stick spray. Stretch dough to fit the pizza pan, pressing dough to edges of pan.
  4. Spread approximately 1 cup of pizza sauce over dough. Sprinkle cheeses evenly over the top followed by celery root and garlic to cover.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes rotating half-way through cooking. Cook until crust is puffy and golden brown.
  6. Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly before cutting into 8 slices with a pizza cutter.
