Savory Soy Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 6 Bacon slices, diced
- 1 1/2 cups Diced white onions, 7 oz. container
- 8 oz Mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp Unbleached all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup Fischer & Wieser Four Star Provisions Soy Sriracha Glaze
- 2 cups Whole milk
- 8 oz Cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup Shredded Parmesan cheese, divided use
- 2 lb Frozen cut green beans
- 1 cup French fried Onions
- 1/3 cup Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds, crushed
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375ºF and grease a 9 X 9-inch baking dish.
- Place oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon to hot oil and cook until crisp and browned.
- Add onions and mushrooms and cook until onions are translucent and mushrooms are well browned. Dust the pan with flour and continue to cook for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Stir in soy glaze, milk and cream cheese, reduce heat to low and cook until mixture thickens. Add 1/2 of Parmesan cheese and frozen green beans. Stir to combine then transfer to prepared baking dish.
- Top with remaining Parmesan cheese, French fried onions and smoked almonds. Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake and additional 15 minutes.
- Chef's Note: This can be made 1 to 2 days ahead of time, covered and refrigerated until ready to cook.
