Rueben Sandwich

Unsaved Rueben Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 8 Slices rye bread
  • 4 oz Thousand Island dressing
  • Slices Swiss cheese
  • 2 Pastrami

Instructions

  1. Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on 1 side of each slice of bread, flip bread and spread with Thousand Island dressing.
  3. On 4 slices of the bread, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the Thousand Island dressing followed by 1/2 package of pastrami, a spoonful of sauerkraut and the remaining Swiss cheese. Top sandwiches with remaining bread, Thousand Island side down.
  4. Cooking in batches, place sandwich butter-side down in hot pan. Cook until nicely toasted then flip sandwich and cook until cheese melts and bread is golden brown. Serve hot.
