Unsaved Penne with Marinara Sauce, Thyme & Italian Sausage

Ingredients

  • 1 Penne pasta
  • 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 lb Sweet Italian sausage links
  • 1/2 cup White wine
  • 1 Marinara sauce
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook pasta according to package instructions. Set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat oil over medium heat and sauté garlic and thyme until the garlic turns light yellow.
  3. Add sausage to pan and sauté, breaking into pieces, 5 minutes or until browned and cooked through.
  4. Add white wine to pan and reduce by half.
  5. Add marinara sauce and water to pan and simmer 10 minutes.
  6. Add cooked pasta and toss with sauce to thoroughly coat.
  7. Chef's note: Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
