Pan-Fried Flounder Almondine

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sliced almonds
  • 1 Lemon, juiced
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh basil
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 4 Flounder filets

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes.
  2. Add 2 tablespoons butter and almonds and stir-fry over medium heat until almonds are golden brown.
  3. Remove fried almonds from skillet and place on sheet of foil. Retain skillet for fish.
  4. Season fillets with basil.
  5. Using the same skillet, add the remaining butter and heat over medium-high heat for 1 minute.
  6. Pan fry fillets for 3 to 4 minutes per side over medium-high heat.
  7. Sprinkle lemon juice and fried almonds over fish and cook 1 more minute.
