Mushroom and Onion Smothered Pork Chops

Unsaved Mushroom and Onion Smothered Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 cup Yellow onions, sliced
  • 1 cup Fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 lb Pork chops, thin sliced
  • 2 cups Beef broth

Instructions

  1. Place large sauté pan over medium-high heat and add oil.
  2. Brown onions and mushrooms 2 to 3 minutes or until they start to brown.
  3. Push onions to the side of the pan and add pork chops to pan.
  4. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper and cook 2 minutes per side.
  5. Cover pork chops with onions after flipping.
  6. Reduce heat to medium and add broth.
  7. Cook 25 minutes or until chops are tender.
  8. Serve pork chops over egg noodles and garnish with green onion.
  9. Chef's Note: If desired, thicken sauce with a cornstarch slurry, 1/3 cup water and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Constantly stir and remove from heat after 1 minute.
