Mi Tienda Carne Guisada Tacos with Cheese

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil, divided use
  • 1 cup White onions, finely diced
  • 1 1/2 lb Carne guisada seasoned beef
  • 2 tbsp All purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 2 Beef broth concentrate
  • 1 1/2 cups Water
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet on medium-high.
  2. Add onions and sauté several minutes until translucent, then add beef and cook until well browned, turning occasionally.
  3. Add in flour and stir to coat. Continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes, then stir in tomato paste, followed by beef broth and water.
  4. Bring mixture to a simmer then reduce heat to low and cover. Cook 10 to 20 minutes stirring occasionally.
  5. Once beef is tender, season with cumin and place in your favorite tortilla with H-E-B Tex Mex shredded cheese.
