Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 Skin on tilapia, pan fried
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 Greenhouse Tomato, sliced
- 1/4 cup White Onion, sliced thin
- 3 Green Leaf Lettuce
- 3 cups Canola Oil
- 1/2 Lime, juiced
Instructions
- Heat a large cast iron skillet to medium high.
- Add oil to the skillet and begin heating.
- While skillet is heating, score tilapia 4 times on each side of the fish and season with salt and pepper.
- Dust tilapia with all purpose flour on both sides.
- Place whole tilapia into the skillet and begin pan frying.
- Cook fish for 6 minutes on each side or until an internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.
- While fish is pan frying build your plate with lettuce leaves, sliced onion, and sliced tomatoes.
- Once fish is finished cooking remove from the skillet and place it on a baking perforated pan to allow the oil to come off.
- Place fish on the plate with all the garnishes and squeeze half a lime over the top and serve hot.
