Low Carb Pecan Fried Catfish

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Half and half
  • 1 tbsp Hot sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning, divided use
  • 4 Catfish fillets
  • 1 cup Texas Cajun pecan breading mix

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl whisk together half and half, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and 1 tsp of Cajun seasoning until combined.
  2. Place catfish fillets in half and half mixture and let set for 15 minutes, turning occasionally. Meanwhile, combine pecan breading mix and remaining Cajun seasoning in a medium bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove fish from half and half mixture and dip into pecan mix. Press to adhere to fish then carefully place in hot oil and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer fish to a plate and tent with foil to keep warm. Repeat with remaining fillets. Serve with tartar sauce or hot sauce on the side.
