Low Carb Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Half and Half
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 4 oz Unsalted butter, very cold and cut or shredded into small pieces
  • 1/2 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 cups BakeHaven Keto Flour

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, sift and stir together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
  2. Add butter pieces to dry ingredients and use a pastry cutter or your hands to work butter into the flour mixture until it resembles wet sand.
  3. Pour liquid mixture into dry and stir until it forms a ball. Knead it for 1 minute. It will be sticky. Wrap or cover in plastic wrap and put in refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  4. While dough chills, preheat oven to 375ºF. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray and set aside briefly.
  5. With a rolling pin, roll dough out until it is about 3/4 inch thick. Use a biscuit cutter or a sharp knife to cut into 12 equal-sized biscuits.
  6. Place on prepared baking sheet and brush tops with a small amount of half and half. Bake for 12 minutes until browned on top.
