Lazy Lasagna

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb Ground chuck
- 1/4 tsp Kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp Ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
- 3/4 cup Water
- 25 oz Pasta sauce
- 16 oz Small curd low fat cottage cheese
- 1 Large H-E-B Grade AA Cage Free Large Brown Eggs
- 12 oz Oven ready lasagna pasta
- 16 oz Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. In a medium skillet over medium high heat brown ground beef in a skillet and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder; once browned drain fat. In a large pot, combine the ground beef, water and all but 1/2 cup of pasta sauce.
- In a large bowl combine cottage cheese, egg and a pinch of pepper; set aside
- In a 9 X 9-inch glass dish, pour in the remaining pasta sauce and ensure the bottom is coated with sauce.
- Place noodles in bottom of pan (break them to fit) so entire bottom is covered in noodles.
- Pour the cottage cheese mixture over the noodles and spread evenly to thinly coat the noodles.
- Evenly layer mozzarella cheese over the noodles.
- Add thin layer of meat sauce mixture to the top of the cheese layer.
- Repeat steps 4-7, twice (so that there are 3 whole layers).
- Bake 45 minutes, uncovered; let rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
- Chef's Note: For a complete meal, serve with bakery garlic bread and garden salad.
