Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 6 oz Blueberries, washed and patted dry
  • 1 1/2 cups Lemon(s), juice and zest of 3 lemons

Instructions

  1. Add sugar and 1 cup of water to a small saucepan and place over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a simmer and cook just long enough for sugar to dissolve. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, add simple syrup and blueberries to a blender and process until smooth.
  4. Place lemon juice and zest in a 64 ounce pitcher. Pour in blueberry mixture, using a fine mesh strainer to catch any large sediment.
  5. Add enough cold water to fill pitcher, stir or whisk to combine, and chill until ready to use. To serve, garnish glasses with extra blueberries.
  6. Chef's Note: If you prefer a more pulpy lemonade, don't strain blueberries.
