Homemade Blueberry Lemonade

Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 6 oz Blueberries, washed and patted dry
- 1 1/2 cups Lemon(s), juice and zest of 3 lemons
Instructions
- Add sugar and 1 cup of water to a small saucepan and place over medium heat.
- Bring to a simmer and cook just long enough for sugar to dissolve. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
- Once cooled, add simple syrup and blueberries to a blender and process until smooth.
- Place lemon juice and zest in a 64 ounce pitcher. Pour in blueberry mixture, using a fine mesh strainer to catch any large sediment.
- Add enough cold water to fill pitcher, stir or whisk to combine, and chill until ready to use. To serve, garnish glasses with extra blueberries.
- Chef's Note: If you prefer a more pulpy lemonade, don't strain blueberries.
