Hearty & Healthy Texas-Style Chili

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Canola oil
  • 2 lb Lean ground turkey
  • 11 oz Diced onion
  • 7 oz Diced bell peppers
  • 4 tbsp Chili mix
  • 15 oz Pinto beans
  • 15 oz Diced Mexican-style tomatoes
  • 1/4 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp Ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a large chili pot over high heat 2 minutes; add oil and ground turkey, and stir-fry 5 minutes until all liquid is gone and meat is browned; add onions, peppers and chili mix to meat, then stir-fry 3 minutes more.
  2. Add beans and tomatoes to chili meat, and bring to a boil; reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes; season with salt and pepper.
