Hawaiian Style Stir Fry

Serves 6
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 1 tbsp Peeled garlic cloves, zested or minced
- 1 cup Smoked ham center slices, diced small
- 1/2 cup Fresh pineapple, diced
- 1 tbsp Corn starch
- 1/4 cup Mirin
- 1/3 cup Soy sauce, plus more as needed for seasoning
- 5 oz Matchstick carrots
- 8 oz Mung bean sprouts
- 1/2 cup Fresh green onion(s), chopped fine
Instructions
- In a large saute pan add sesame oil, garlic and ham stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes before adding pineapple, stir fry 3 to 4 more minutes.
- Whisk together corn starch, mirin and soy sauce until corn starch is dissolved add to pan and cook until just thick.
- Add carrots, bean sprouts, green onions. Stir fry another 2 to 4 minutes.just to coat in sauce.
- Continue to cook until liquid is slightly reduced. Season to taste with more soy sauce as needed.
- Serve over rice, garnish as desired.
