Grilled Asparagus with Avocado Aioli

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup Extra virgin olive oil, divided use
- 1 tsp Lemon zest, very finely zested
- 1 lb Fresh asparagus, about the size of a pencil, woody ends removed
- 1 Large Haas avocado, soft and ripe
- 2 tsp Sesame oil
- 2 tsp Less sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Fresh garlic cloves, finely minced, divided use
- 3/4 cup Olive oil mayonnaise
Instructions
- Add avocado, mayonnaise, 2 teaspoons of garlic, soy sauce and lemon zest to blender. Add about 1/4 cup or just enough olive oil to make mixture blendable.
- Blend briefly just until smooth. Adjust flavor with salt and pepper as needed. Remove from blender and reserve.
- Preheat grill to medium-high.
- Place asparagus in a resealable gallon-sized plastic bag. Mix remaining olive oil, remaining garlic and sesame oil together and add to bag. Gently rub asparagus back and forth through bag to evenly coat with oil and garlic.
- Grill 3 to 4 minutes, just until asparagus is lightly charred but still bright green. Serve immediately with avocado aioli.
