Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tsp Fresh turmeric root, peeled and finely grated
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 Medium garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh ginger root, peeled and grated
  • 1/3 cup Tahini
  • 15 oz Canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/8 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except olive oil in a food processor. Run on high speed, scraping down the sides as needed, until mixture is smooth.
  2. With machine running, pour in olive oil in a thin stream and process until smooth and creamy. Eat immediately or store, covered, for up to 5 days in the refrigerator.
