Garlic and Herb Creamed Kale

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Kale, leafy greens removed from ribs
  • 3 tbsp Sunflower oil with garlic and herb flavors
  • 1/4 cup Yellow onions, diced
  • 1/2 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan fresh grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Place a 3 quart sauce pan over medium heat. Add basting oil and tilt to coat. Add onions and cook for 3 minutes, or until soft. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Let simmer for 5 minutes. Whisk in Parmesan cheese.
  2. Set the sauce aside. Place a large pot over medium heat. Add 1 cup of water to pot and bring to a simmer. Cut kale into bite sized pieces and add to pot. Cover immediately and let steam for 5 minutes, or until slightly wilted.
  3. Drain kale and return to the pot. Pour sauce into the pan and fold together. Serve immediately.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
