Serves 8

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cups Bread flour
  • 1 cup Cold water
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp Dry active yeast

Instructions

  1. In a large mixer with a hook attachment, combine all dry ingredients and mix for 2 minutes. Add the oil and honey and mix to combine.
  2. Add water and continue mixing everything for several minutes or until dough pulls away from the bowl. If dough looks a bit dry add 1 tbsp of water at a time until it starts to come together. You don't want the dough to be sticky.
  3. For best flavor results, place dough in a bag and refrigerate overnight to allow dough to rest. For immediate use, form dough into balls and place on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Cover with plastic wrap or a small unscented trash bag and allow them to proof (rise) for 20-30 minutes before baking or grilling.
  4. The next day allow to thaw and rise, cook as needed. Add flour to the surface of your workspace to keep dough from sticking.
