Easy Fried Mozzarella Sticks

Serves 6
Ingredients
- 3 cups Grapeseed oil, plus more as needed for frying
- 8 Mozzarella sticks
- 1 cup Corn starch, plus more as needed
- 6 Large eggs, whisked until smooth
- 2 cups Bread crumbs, plus more as needed
Instructions
- Place oil in a large heavy bottom pot or Dutch oven and heat to 350ºF.
- To ensure cheese stays hard, freeze at least 30 minutes before frying.
- Set up three separate shallow dishes, first one with cornstarch, then eggs, and finally breadcrumbs.
- Take each cheese stick and dredge into cornstarch, then eggs and then breadcrumbs. Coat each stick thoroughly with all ingredients.
- Gently lower each cheese stick into hot oil and keep moving them around so they don't stick to bottom of pan. Be careful not to overcrowd oil, fry in batches.
- Drain cheese sticks onto a paper towel and allow to cool 5 to 10 minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauces.
