Easy Caesar Salad with Homemade Bacon Croutons

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp Salted butter
  • 2 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp H‑E‑B Select Ingredients Bagel Not Included Everything + Bacon Spice Blend
  • 6 oz White Bread, cut into 1 inch cubes (about 4 cups)
  • 9 oz Romaine Chopped Salad Base
  • 1 oz Parmesan Shaved Cheese

Instructions

  1. Place a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter, olive oil, and spice blend. Stir to combine while butter melts.
  2. Toss bread cubes into melted butter mixture and stir to coat. Toss gently as bread toasts in the skillet. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes stirring often to cook evenly.
  3. When croutons are golden brown around the edges, remove from hot pan to a plate to cool.
  4. Add lettuce to a large bowl, pour salad dressing over the top and add Parmesan cheese and croutons. Toss to evenly coat and divide evenly among serving plates.
