Dill Pickle Barbecue Chicken Legs

Unsaved Dill Pickle Barbecue Chicken Legs

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Barbeque Sauce
  • 12 oz Dill Pickle Vinaigrette
  • 6 Chicken Drumsticks
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Sweet Heat BBQ Seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 3/4 cup Hamburger Dill Chips, 1/4 cup small diced and reserved

Instructions

  1. Place dill pickle vinaigrette in a medium-size, non-reactive bowl. Add chicken legs and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours, turning once.
  2. Remove chicken from marinade and discard marinade. Season chicken on all sides with BBQ rub and set aside.
  3. Place BBQ sauce, pickles, and Worcestershire sauce in a blender and blend until smooth. Reserve for later use.
  4. Preheat gas or charcoal grill to medium-high. Push charcoal to one side of grill or turn half of gas grill off.
  5. Place chicken on cooler side of grill (no direct heat underneath). Close lid and cook for 15 minutes, turning once halfway through.
  6. Move chicken over direct heat and baste with bbq sauce. Close lid and cook for 5 minutes. Turn chicken over, baste with sauce, and cook for 5 more minutes.
  7. Move chicken back to the cool side of grill, close lid and cook 15 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with diced pickles and more sauce if desired.
