Copy Cat White Castle Sliders
1 hr prep
15 min cook
Serves 12
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 lb 80/20 ground chuck
- 2 tsp Adams Reserve Just Right Burger Spice, or other Adams Rub
- 2 tbsp Salted butter
- 1 cup White onion, small diced, divided use
- 1/4 cup Beef broth, or water
- 12 slices American cheese, cut into quarters
- 12 Sweet Aloha Rolls
- 24 Dill pickle chips
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chuck and Just Right Burger Spice and mix until well incorporated.
- Transfer to a lined baking sheet and gently press beef to form a 12x10 rectangle to fill the pan. Using a sharp knife, cut 12 equal squares then poke holes in each square (a chopstick is perfect for this). Freeze for 1 hour or until firm.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle to medium heat. Add half of butter and half of onions. Working in batches, place patties on top of onions and cook 2 to 4 minutes on one side.
- Pour a small amount of broth into pan to create steam and prevent excessive browning. Flip patties and cook an additional 2 minutes, then top with cheese squares and top half of slider buns.
- While patties continue to cook, arrange bottom portion of slider buns on a serving dish and top with pickles. Remove each patty from pan and place on top of pickles. Repeat steps for the second batch.
