Unsaved Classic Onion Pot Roast

Ingredients

  • 1.2 oz Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 3 lb Beef chuck shoulder roast
  • 3/4 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 300°F. (You may also use crock pot on medium-high.)
  2. Select a covered pan sized to fit the roast.
  3. Sprinkle soup mix and pepper over roast.
  4. Pour water around roast.
  5. Cook 2 hours or until roast is fork-tender.
  6. Serve with juices from pan or ready-made gravy over roast.
