Serves 12

Ingredients

  • 16 oz Dark chocolate, broken into pieces
  • 1 lb Fresh strawberries, washed and tops trimmed

Instructions

  1. Fill a small pot 1/3 full with water, set over medium-heat and allow it to come to a simmer.
  2. Meanwhile, skewer each strawberry from where tops were trimmed and lay them on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
  3. When water is simmering, add chocolate pieces to a metal bowl and place on pot without any water to get into bowl.
  4. Slowly melt chocolate whisking to help it along intermittently. Once chocolate is smooth, allow to cool slightly before dipping.
  5. Dip each strawberry to coat completely and place back onto parchment, cool and set up in a very cool dry location. Chill until ready to serve.
  6. Chef's Note: Decorate strawberries with sprinkles or mini chocolate chips if desired.
