Unsaved Chocolate Cowboy Hats

Ingredients

  • 40 Medium potato chips, regular, salted, kettle or ridged
  • 6 oz Chocolate candy coating
  • 40 Rolos candies
  • 3 oz Twizzlers pull apart candy, preferably pull apart ropes

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Lay unbroken potato chips on parchment.
  2. Peel licorice apart into individual strands and cut into 2 1/2 inch long sections.
  3. Microwave candy coating according to package directions.
  4. Using the back of a spoon spread a thin layer of coating on one side of potato chips. While chocolate is still soft, place a Rolo in the middle of the chip and wrap red licorice around Rolo like a hat band.
  5. Chef's Note: For a festive, fiesta-style hat, carefully sprinkle multi-colored sprinkles around outer rim of hat while chocolate is still soft.
