Ingredients
- 9 oz No sugar added milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup Almond butter, no sugar added, or as needed for filling molds
- 1/2 tsp Sea salt, or as needed for garnishing
Instructions
- Add chocolate to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until chocolate is smooth and melted.
- Using a silicon mini muffin tray or any silicon candy mold tray, fill approximately 8 mini cups with a spoonful of chocolate.
- Turn tray upside down over the bowl of chocolate and gently tap to remove excess chocolate, leaving a thin layer of chocolate in each mold.
- Set unused chocolate aside and keep warm for later. Place chocolate mold in freezer for at least 20 minutes for chocolate to solidify.
- Once chocolate is set, place a small spoonful of almond butter in each mold as needed to fill.
- Spoon a little more melted chocolate over almond butter to seal each cup, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on each and return to freezer for at least 30 minutes to set up.
- For serving, remove almond butter cups from molds and serve.
- Chef's Note: Almond butter cups will keep frozen for up to a month in a freezer bag, simply allow to thaw slightly before serving.
