Chilaquiles with Carne Seca

Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 5 cups H-E-B Tortilla Chips, plus more as needed
  • 1 1/2 cups Central Market Roasted Tomatillo Salsa
  • 2 cups H-E-B Select Ingredients Colby and Monterey Jack Cheese, Shredded, Value Pack, shredded
  • 1 Jalapeño pepper(s), thinly sliced
  • 4 oz Carne Seca Doña Blanca's Gourmet Dried Beef
  • 1/2 cup Green onion(s), chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a non-stick oven safe pan, add salsa, shredded beef, and toss together until salsa is bubbly. Add chips and jalapeños; toss to combine.
  3. Cover with cheese and place into oven until cheese is just melted. Garnish with fresh green onions. Season to taste as needed with salt and pepper.
  4. Chef's Note: I like to serve mine with a fried egg on top.
