Chicken Shawarma

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp Fresh lemons, juiced
  • 1 tsp Curry powder
  • 2 tsp Olive oil
  • 3 Fresh garlic clove, crushed
  • 4 Wheat pita pockets
  • 4 tbsp Roasted garlic hummus
  • 2 cups Romaine lettuce, shredded
  • 1 Roma tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to 375°F.
  2. Season chicken with lemon juice, curry powder, olive oil and garlic.
  3. Grill for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from the grill and set aside.
  4. Cut each pita in half and open. Spread 1 tablespoon of hummus into each half of pita and stuff with chicken, lettuce and tomato.
