Carbonara Jalapeño Poppers

Unsaved Carbonara Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Cream cheese, slightly softened at room temperature but still cold
  • 1/2 cup Whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 3/4 Grated parmesan cheese, plus more as needed to taste
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder, plus more as needed to taste
  • 6 Large jalapenos, stems removed, peppers cut in half and seeds and ribs scraped out
  • 12 Each pepper bacon, 12 strips or as needed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Line a sheet pan with foil or parchment paper and set aside briefly.
  2. In a bowl combine cream cheese, ricotta, Parmesan and garlic powder, and whisk to combine. Season to taste with salt and pepper as needed.
  3. Add cheese mixture to a pastry bag or spoon fill centers of each halved jalapeño with cheese mixture.
  4. Lay out 12 pieces of bacon and tightly wrap each jalapeño half in bacon so the cream cheese filling is completely covered.
  5. Arrange wrapped poppers on prepared sheet pan and bake 20 to 30 minutes or until bacon is fully cooked and crispy.
  6. Allow poppers to cool for at least 10 minutes before eating.
