Brisket Rueben

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 slices German Rye, # 2 Deli sliced
  • 1 oz Jarlsberg cheese, sliced thin
  • 1 tbsp Thousand Island Dressing
  • 1/4 lb Roasted Brisket, sliced on 1
  • 2 oz Sauerkraut

Instructions

  1. Place a 12" square cast iron skillet or griddle pan over medium-high heat. Butter one side of each slice of bread and place butter-side down in preheated pan.
  2. While bread is toasting, lay cheese on one slice of bread and drizzle dressing on the other.
  3. Arrange brisket and kraut next to the bread and lightly brown, about 1 minute.
  4. Top cheese with meat followed by kraut and second piece of toast, dressing side down. Cut in half and serve.
