Blueberry Croissants

Ingredients

  • 1 pt Fresh blueberries
  • 2 tbsp Pure cane sugar
  • 8 oz Crescent dinner rolls
  • 3 tbsp Fruit spread
  • 1 Extra large eggs, white only
  • 1 tbsp Granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 400°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a bowl, combine blueberries with 1 tablespoon granulated sugar until berries are coated; set aside.
  4. Unroll crescent rolls into 8 equal-sized triangles.
  5. On the shortest length of each triangle, place 1 teaspoon fruit spread in center and press 2 tablespoons of blueberry mixture into fruit spread.
  6. Roll dough and fruit up along the length of the triangle.
  7. Whisk together egg white and teaspoon of water and brush rolls with egg white mixture and sprinkle with cane sugar.
  8. Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes or until golden.
