Blackberry Chipotle Rib Sauce

Ingredients
- 6 oz Sweet Karoline Blackberries, 1 container washed thoroughly
- 1/2 cup Brown sugar
- 1/3 cup Honey
- 7 oz Can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 1/2 cup White onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup Apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup Cold water
- 1 tbsp Garlic powder
Instructions
- Set a medium-sized pot over medium heat and add all ingredients along with a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Bring to come to a simmer.
- Once at a simmer, reduce heat to low and cook for 25 to 30 minutes or until liquid has reduced and mixture has thickened slightly.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Blend sauce until smooth using either an immersion or regular blender.
- Strain sauce through a fine mesh sieve to remove seeds. Season to taste and cover sauce until ready to use. Refrigerate for up to 5 days.
- Slather over BBQ ribs before serving, or serve alongside grilled chicken or pork.
