  • 4 oz Salted butter, 1 stick melted
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar, divided use, 1/2 cup for filling and 1/2 cup for crumb topping
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 8 oz Sour cream, full fat
  • 2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp Fine sea salt
  • 12 oz Sweet Karoline blackberries
  • 8 oz Frozen pie crust, 1 standard 8 to 9 inch pie crust thawed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. In a bowl combine 1-1/4 cups of flour, melted butter and sugar together and mix well until dough resembles a semi wet sand texture.
  3. Set aside and make filling by combining remaining flour with, eggs, sour cream, sugar, vanilla extract and salt.
  4. Whisk everything together until smooth and creamy and set aside. Place blackberries into pie shell evenly.
  5. Pour cream mixture evenly over blackberries and give pie a slight shake to evenly distribute liquid.
  6. Evenly distribute crumb topping over pie to completely cover.
  7. Place pie onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and bake for 45 to 60 minutes or until pie is set in middle and crust is golden brown.
  8. Allow pie to cool for at least 2 hours to allow cream and pectin to fully set.
