Blackberry Basil Limeade

Ingredients

  • 12 oz Sweet Karoline Blackberries, thoroughly washed
  • 1 1/3 cups Fresh squeezed lime juice, plus 1 tbsp of fresh lime zest if desired
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar, plus more as needed for sweetness
  • 1 cup Fresh basil, leaves only, loosely packed
  • 2 qt Filtered water

Instructions

  1. In a blender add blackberries, lime juice and zest, sugar and basil leaves. Blend until smooth and sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add puree and water to a pitcher. Stir to combine then place in fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  3. For serving, pour limeade over ice in tall glasses and garnish each glass with a fresh basil leaf.
