Beer Battered Tofu

Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 lb Extra firm tofu, well drained and pressed
- 12 fl oz Beer
- 1/2 cup Bake Haven Keto Flour
- 1/2 tsp Coarse ground black pepper
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/3 cup Oil
Instructions
- Slice tofu into 1/4 inch thick slices and place in a large bowl with beer. Set aside to soak.
- In another bowl combine flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and baking powder and whisk well. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Remove tofu from beer and set on paper towels. Spoon 1/4 cup of beer into flour mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Dip tofu slices into batter then directly into hot oil. Cook 2 minutes per side or until browned on each side. Remove and keep warm. Repeat with remaining tofu slices.
