Beef Ribs with Spicy Cola BBQ Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 lb Boneless Texas-style ribs, fat trimmed
- 1/2 cup White onions, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1 cup Cola
- 3/4 cup Ketchup, reserve 1/2 cup
- 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar
- 2 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 tsp Hot sauce
- 1 tbsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp Kosher salt
Instructions
- Combine onion, garlic, Coke, ketchup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, oil, Tabasco sauce, chili powder and pepper in a 1 gallon sealable plastic bag; add ribs, seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate 12-24 hours, turning occasionally.
- Remove ribs from marinade, and set aside; pour marinade into a 1-quart saucepan; add 1/2 cup ketchup, brown sugar and salt; stir, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally; remove from heat.
- Heat charcoal 30 minutes, or heat gas grill 10 minutes with lid closed; grill ribs 8-10 minutes per side over medium heat (375 degrees grill surface temperature), or until the internal temperature in the thickest part reaches 145-150°F.
- Spoon sauce over ribs, and serve immediately.
