Basil Garlic Pesto Crostini

Ingredients
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup Blanched slivered almonds
- 1/2 cup Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Baguette bread, sliced 1-inch thick
- 1 cup Shredded parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1 No-stick vegetable oil cooking spray
- 8 oz Cream cheese bar
- 1 cup Fresh basil, stems removed
Instructions
- Heat oven to 450°F.
- Spray a large baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray and arrange the slices of bread on the baking sheet.
- Toast the bread in the hot oven for 5 minutes on each side.
- Combine the garlic cloves and almonds in a food processor or blender and process the almond mixture for 10 seconds until ingredients are finely chopped.
- Add the olive oil and basil to the almond mixture and process or blend for 10 seconds more.
- Add the Parmesan cheese and process 5 more seconds.
- Set mixture aside.
- Spread 2 teaspoons cream cheese on each bread slice and top with 2 teaspoons basil pesto.
