Applewood Smoked Salt and Pepper Glazed Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce, as needed for glazing ribs
  • 1 tbsp Ground black pepper, plus more as needed
  • 1 tbsp Kosher salt, plus more as needed
  • 1 Natural baby back ribs

Instructions

  1. Using apple wood chips preheat smoker to between 200˚F to 215˚F.
  2. Season ribs liberally on both sides with salt and pepper. Allow ribs to sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Once smoker is to temp add ribs directly to rack and close smoker, maintain heat and add wood as necessary to keep smoke consistent.
  4. Half way through smoking process, brush a little BBQ sauce over ribs.
  5. Once ribs are tender remove from smoker and brush a little more BBQ sauce over ribs if desired.
  6. Serve ribs with your favorite BBQ sides.
