Apple Spice Cake

Ingredients
- 3 cups All-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
- 2 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- 1 1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon
- 1 1/4 tsp Allspice
- 1/2 tsp Ground cardamom
- 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups Pure cane dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup Maple syrup
- 2 Large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups Unsweetened apple sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- In a large bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, allspice and cardamom.
- In a separate bowl using an electric mixer, cream butter, sugar and maple syrup together.
- Once butter sugar mixture is light and fluffy, begin beating eggs in one at a time until completely combined.
- Turn mixer to low speed and slowly add flour mixture into wet ingredients. Beat just until mixture is combined. Be careful not to over mix. Then miix in apple sauce.
- Pour into a well greased Bundt or loaf pan.
- Bake until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean, about 55 minutes.
- Place on a wire rack and cool 10 - 15 minutes.
- Firmly hold a wire rack on top of pan and quickly invert cake onto rack. Cool completely before slicing.
