Apple Cinnamon Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 Large eggs
  • 4 cups Half and half
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Dark brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp Fine sea salt
  • 16 oz Bakery challah bread, cut into approximately 1 inch cubes
  • 2 cups Opal apples, cored and diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a blender add eggs, half and half, heavy cream, sugars, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Blend until smooth.
  3. Place bread cubes and diced apples in a deep 9x13 inch oven-safe casserole dish. Pour egg mixture over bread and apples, and mix well to combine.
  4. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until custard is set and bread pudding is nicely browned.
