Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. Beat butter, both sugars and vanilla with an electric mixer on high speed for 3 minutes or until the butter and sugar are light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs to the cookie dough mixture and beat for 1 minute using an electric mixer on medium speed.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Add the flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time to the cookie dough mixture, using the electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans with wooden spoon.
  7. Drop cookie dough 1 teaspoonful at a time, 2 inches apart, on cookie sheet pans.
  8. Bake one sheet of cookies at a time in oven on center rack 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. Remove cookies from sheet pans and cool on wire racks.
