    Caution: Do not
  • To Soften Lahvosh: Thoroughly wet both sides of a large Lahvosh by holding it under cold running water. Place between two damp towels (muslin or terry cloth) for 45-60 minutes. Dampen Lahvosh again if needed - a clean spray bottle is ideal for this, or sprinkle lightly by hand. Test before using by grasping one side of the Lahvosh and rolling jelly-roll fashion. If too dry, it will split and crack. Just sprinkle with more water, re-cover and with damp towel until soft and pliable. If too wet, it will tear and pull apart when handled. Just uncover and allow to dry awhile before filling and rolling. To Soften Lahvosh in a Microwave Oven: Place one wet Lahvosh between dampened towels (muslin or terry cloth). Then, put Lahvosh and towels, flat, in large plastic bag. Do not close bag, but tuck open end under when placed, flat, in microwave oven. Put microwave on full power for 20 or 30 seconds or until toweling feels warm. Allow to stand 20 minutes then use for Valley Wraps or as desired.
