About Triple-S
In 2007, the Sotelo family opened a drive-thru convenience store called Triple-S Express in Brownsville, Texas. Aside from selling sodas, milk and snacks, it soon became popular for its main attraction, the Michelada. Juanito Sotelo decided he was going to turn his wife Sasha’s recipe of tomato juice, celery salt, key lime and some secret ingredients into a mix he could mass produce for everyone to enjoy. Three years and 53,000 Triple-S Express Micheladas later, his dream came true when the mixture was bottled. Today, “Brownsville’s Own” Triple-S Michelada Mix can be purchased and enjoyed all over Texas.
