Small, brown and spikey, these whole Madagascar cloves from Southern Style Spices have a pungent taste and aroma. Harvested from the clove tree, these dried flower buds come in a handy when baking a ham, since they can be inserted into all sides. Remove them before serving however — their hard exterior is unpleasant to bite into even after being cooked.
