  • To Make Flour Tortillas:
    To prepare 25 flour tortillas, place 4 cups of flour in a clean, dry bowl. Add 1-2/3 cup of warm water little by little, kneading to form a soft, elastic dough. Separate dough into one-ounce balls. Place on a lightly floured surface, cover, and allow to rest for 30 minutes. Extend or press dough into tortillas of desired size. Cook tortillas on a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

    Tips:
    For tortillas with a special touch, knead a bit of butter into the dough. If you like extra-soft tortillas, add 1 - 2 ounces of vegetable shortening to dough.
