    KEEP IN
  • Cooking: Soak rice in 15-30 minutes for extra length (optional). 1 cup of rice, 1-3/4 cups of water, 1 tbsp of oil/butter (optional), pinch of salt (optional). Stove Top: Rinse measured rice 1-2 times to remove extra starch then drain. Place the rice into a saucepan and add measured water, oil and salt. Place saucepan (uncovered) over High heat and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Let water reduce slightly below the rice level, then lower the heat. Place a tight lid on the saucepan and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Microwave: Combine 1 cup of rice in a microwave-safe dish with 2 cups of water, salt and oil/butter. Cover and microwave on Medium for 15-20 minutes (cooking times are approximate). Allow rice to stand for 5 minutes.
