  • Use This Quick Method for 3 Cups of Tender Fluffy Rice: 1 Combine in a 2-Quart Saucepan (Cooking Measurement Chart: 1 Cup Rice: 2 cups water; makes 3 cups; 5 servings (3/4 cup cooked). 2 Cups Rice: 4 cups water; makes 6 cups; 9 servings (3/4 cup cooked). 3 Cups Rice: 6 cups water; makes 9 cups; 14 servings (3/4 cup cooked)): 1 cup Riceland natural medium grain brown rice; 2 cups water; 1 tbsp oil or Margarin, optional (Add 1 tbsp tub Margarin and 1 tsp salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired). 2. Stir lightly; bring to a rolling boil & reduce heat to simmer (low boil). 3. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and simmer for 35-45 minutes. 4 Salt to taste. For Best Results: 1. Do not add salt while cooking rice, it lengthens cook time. 2. Do not lift lid while cooking (steam cooks rice). 3. For more tender rice, use an additional 1/4 to 1/2 cup water during cooking. For cooking in microwave, follow manufacturer's directions. Store brown rice in refrigerator or freezer.
